Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program

Saskatchewan is thriving and opportunities for grads have never been brighter.

The Graduate Retention Program (GRP) rewards you for building your future in Saskatchewan by providing a refundable income tax credit to rebate up to $20,000 of tuition fee paid by eligible graduates who remain in Saskatchewan.

For 1 year certificate, Diploma or Journeyperson, max rebate for ‘06 & later grads is $3,000.
For 2 year certificate and diploma: ’06 & ’07 - $3,200, ’08 & later - $6,400.
For 3 year undergraduate degree: ’06 & ’07 - $5,000, ’08 - $10,000, ’09 & later- $15,000.
For 4 year undergraduate degree: ’06 & ’07 - $5,000, ’08 - $10,000, ’09 -$15,000, ’10 & later - $20,000.

Anyone who graduates in 2006 or beyond from an approved program in Saskatchewan in continues to live here is eligible. Approved programs must be equivalent to at least six months of full-time study and result in a certificate, diploma, or undergraduate degree; or provide journeypersons certification.

Eligibility will also be extended to graduates of approved programs at post-secondary institutions outside Saskatchewan. For a list of these approved programs, check out www.aeel.gov.sk.ca/grp
